The MM-S2 is the highest flowing pump Boundary offers for the mod motor. It is made for engines running 9,000 RPM or higher. The pump features a billet backplate for higher flow, our patented vane-ported gears, and our MartenWear heat treatment made to withstand extreme racing conditions.

All assembled billet pumps undergo the following:

  1. The pump is thoroughly taken apart; all parts undergo ultrasonic cleaning, air blast, and hand inspection.
  2. The pump is hand de-burred.
  3. Our industry-leading mirror-finished gear set is used
  4. It is assembled with our Black Series ported gerotor with dual-stage heat treatment
  5. When closing the pump up, we use our Billet Steel Anti-Cavitation oil pump cover
  6. Stainless Torx heads replace the stock fasteners
  7. All fasteners are torqued to spec
  8. Loctite is applied to fasteners to prevent back out or loosening
  9. Anaerobic sealant applied to critical areas to boost pump-up speed and reduce aeration.
  10. Assembly lubricant applied to all critical surfaces to get oil flowing fast on startup.
  11. Parts are blueprinted and issued with a specification sheet.

MM-S2 Relief Valve Springs Instructions

This oil pump includes a light blue pressure relief spring set for 80 PSI, just like the original spring used in 5.4L DOHC 32-valve engines (VIN code S)

If you want lower oil pressure, you can switch to the brown spring rated for 60 PSI. that spring matches the original one used in 4.6L SOHC 25-valve engines (VIN code H).

Keep in mind that actual pressure may vary depending on your engines build and clearances. Changing the spring wont affect your idle oil pressure.
