A billet steel backplate for the Mazda 1.8L BP oil pump (Miata 1991.5-2000, large-nose-crank pumps), developed with CFD simulation and precision 3D milling. Cut from billet steel roughly five times more rigid than aluminum to cut leak-by, aeration, and cavitation while raising high-RPM flow. Machined in Royse City, TX.

Our Billet back plates use advanced CFD simulation and exacting 3D precision milling to create a blend of engineering and manufacturing that produces less leak by, less aeration, less cavitation, and higher RPM flow.
- The plate is cut from billet steel, five times as rigid as aluminum, reducing blow-by and air ingestion
- Increased volume and reduced foam increase engine bearing life
